A Magdalene Rose - The Global Book Launch

On 17 May 2025, Frank globally launched his book, A Magdalene Rose. The launch took place in the historic public library in Monmouth South Wales, UK. Frank explained to his audience the origins of the book and how it contains the true stories of four remarkable people, captured by Ireland’s cruel Magdalen system. Frank did readings from two chapter’s of his book and held a robust Q&A with the audience who were both shocked, some being quite emotional about the book’s revelations, along with important questions as to the role of Church and State from 1922 to the late 1980s. Many stayed after the event to speak with Frank and shared their deeply personal family experiences of Ireland’s system to control unmarried mothers, their children and to a degree, their partners. It was a truly profound event and launched the book’s “Journey Home”, hopefully bringing recognition and Justice to those featured in Frank’s book.
